Pine (Pinus sylvestris) – Associated with the Moon, the Sun and with angels. When the doors are closed and our pleas go unheard, pine, with the fierce courage of the “Dog of God,” rises on both feet out of hibernation upward to the sky, blasting entrances open with its ferocious roar and impressive height to take us out of the wilderness and back to what it prefers – cuddling with its cubs in a lodge, eating honey. Pine aids in the recovery from sudden betrayals, chiefly intimate out-of-the-blue abandonments, protects against gunshots and unexpectedly takes back power through allowing one's voice to be heard. Boosting carefully-selected words and actions, quickly changing trajectory, seeing something through to the end and getting us out of the woods are some of pine’s strengths.
