When we’re chosen by lot to enter our heart’s Labyrinth, the crucible of the Minotaur awaiting within, frankincense, with the atomic power of the Sun, calls the Divine to slay our haunts, returning us cleansed and refined. Associated with four Archangels (Zadkiel, Michael, Uriel and Sandalphon), frankincense is primarily ruled by the Archangel Zadkiel, whose name means “righteousness of God”. Ruled by these Archangels are “nuclear physics, atomic energy….[and] volcanic eruptions” (The Kabbalah & Magic of Angels, p. 184-6), making frankincense a definitive agent for disintegrating lower frequencies. Zadkiel “rules the zodiac signs of Sagittarius and Pisces” and his animals include the white buffalo (p. 183-4) and its shadow, the mythical Minotaur, the white buffalo being a great totem of shadow-side (Minotaur) confrontation.
